Yakult

I have started drinking it again and it brings back childhood memories. It’s good for the tummy and my mom used to buy me a pack from a vendor who goes door to door to ask if we want to buy one.  I would then have a money ready for payment given by mom as she’s usually not around when the vendor goes to our house.

A pack contains five bottles of  Yakult and I could finish them all in just one sitting and then later on I’ll have a tooth ache.

There’s what they call Fro-Ya available at Sebastian’s which I have to try yet. It’s made from pure Yakult and I’m curious on how it tastes. If it’s very yummy, I might be able to order two cups, hee hee.

Do You Eat Taho Everyday?

Kids love taho or soy pudding. I remember when I used to take care of my nephew that I always buy him everyday. He eats it as his breakfast. I give the vendor our own bowl to put the taho in it and not in a plastic cup. The taho costs at least 10 pesos or more depending on the size of the bowl.

Taho is made from soft tofu, vanilla syrup and pearl sago. It’s actually a healthy food as long as you won’t let the vendor put too much syrup. Otherwise, you might get diabetic in the future.

Me, I prefer my taho without peral sago and I aslo ask the vendor not to put too much sugar. I even have a separate cup for the syrup so that I can adjust the sweetness according to my taste.

There are lots of taho vendor everywhere. Even in Makati where I used to work, there are vendors selling to the office workers. They are asked to leave by the guards though since sidewalk vendors aren’t allowed.

Taho is included in my breakfast. I don’t think my day will be complete without eating one.
